Terms and conditions

Ordering from the web store
You can get to know the products you have ordered, and make sure they both suit you and are to your liking, as you have up to 14 days to get acquainted with the products and to decide on what you want to purchase. By accepting the terms and conditions of the web store, the customer agrees that the Hanko Tourist Office / Oy Hansea DC Ab may send the customer e-mail and/or text messages in regards to the purchase. Product purchases will only be delivered within Finland. You will receive an electronic confirmation of order upon confirming your order online, where you can also verify your order details. Time of delivery is 2-5 days. Keep the confirmation of order in case you might need it later.

The gift card will be sent per email to the address you provide us with. The gift card is valid for 6 months from the date of purchase.

Payment terms
In the Hanko Tourist Office / Oy Hansea DC Ab´s web store you can pay by payment card or by online payment. Items and their postage are to be paid upon purchase. In the web store you can pay with the following forms of payment: Nordea, Osuuspankki, Danske Bank, LähiTapiola, Aktia, Nooa, Paikallisosuuspankit, Säästöpankit, Handelsbanken, S-Pankki, Ålandsbanken and payment cards. Payment will occur through the Paytrail Oyj site. All prices include an added value tax, but not the delivery fee. The delivery fee will be announced before you move on to the cash register.

The payment service provider: Serving as the payment relay service executor and the payment service provider is Paytrail Oyj (2122839-7) in cooperation with Finnish banks and credit banks. Paytrail Oyj is shown as the receiver of payment in a bank statement or in a payment card invoice, and acts as an intermediary between the customer and the merchant. Paytrail Oyj is authorized by the payment institution. In cases of complaints, we kindly ask you to primarily contact the product deliverer.

The right to disclaim an order
In the case that a product that you have ordered is not available, we reserve the right to cancel the order, in case of which the money will be returned to the account number you have provided. Please note that the cash register will not reserve items from the stock until the payment has been completed.

Forms of delivery and charges
The item(s) you have ordered will be delivered as a 2nd class maxi letter or as a parcel to your closest place of business within 2-5 business days. The items´ delivery fees will be paid together with the items.

Returning a product
Fill out the returns form in the accompanying letter, and include it in the parcel with the returnable item. We will refund your payment within 14 days of receiving your returns form, provided that we have received the returned item or you have proven that you have sent it/them. The refund will be paid in the same form you chose when ordering.

The items should be returned to the return address below. The sender will pay for the dispatching costs, as well as take responsibility for the packaging. The items should be packaged carefully so that the items will not damage during delivery. If you have used the item or treated it carelessly, you will at the most be responsible for the full value of the item.

If the parcel has been damaged in the post, you must immediately make a complaint to the Post.

Exceptional hindrance
The Hanko Tourist Office / Oy Hansea DC Ab does not take responsibility for delays or damages that are due to hindrances outside of our chance to influence, that it could not reasonably have foreseen or avoided. An exceptional hindrance is considered for example industrial action, and disturbance in delivery. In case the exceptional hindrance lasts for over 3 weeks, both Hanko Tourist Office / Oy Hansea DC Ab and the customer have the right to cancel the order without compensation or consequence of delayment.

In general
Hanko Tourist Office / Oy Hansea DC Ab reserves the right to change the terms of delivery. The customer must get acquainted with the terms of delivery at the given time, before completing an order. Hanko Tourist Office / Oy Hansea DC Ab handles all customer details with complete confidence and binds to not hand out customer details to a third party.

TERMS OF BOOKING FOR EXCURSIONS, GUIDANCE AND EVENTS

The customer can cancel the excursion without giving a particular reason accordingly:
1. No later than 7 days before the start of the excursion, by paying a 10 euro office fee.
2. Later than 7 days, but no later than 3 days before the start of the excursion, by paying 50% of the total price, but no less than the amount of the office fee (10 euros).
3. If the excursion is canceled later than 3 days before the start of the trip, the organizer has the right to obtain the full price of the excursion.
4. In case of canceling due to illness, the customer has the right to be fully refunded. In case of illness, the customer must notify of this immediately, as well as provide an adequate doctor´s certificate.
The cancelation shall always be made in writing or in case of appropriate circumstances to the address that the organizer has provided. If the excursion is not canceled and the traveler does not appear at the previously agreed upon place of departure, or if he or she cannot participate due to not having the necessary documents, despite accepting full responsibility, he or she does not reserve the right for repayment. The tour operator reserves the right to cancel an excursion for example due to to few participants, announcement of cancellation will in general be made the day before departure.

TERMS OF BOOKING FOR CRUISES

Terms of travel for the Bengtskär-cruise
The shipping company reserves the right for changes (for example: weather, number of passengers, changes in the timetable). The cruise will be canceled if less than 30 people attend. The confirmation e-mail sent to the customer is the ticket, no separate ticket is needed. In case the cruise is canceled, you will be refunded the full amount. In case the customer cancels no later than 7 days before the departure, the money will be refunded, aside from a 10 euro office fee. The refund will be made in the same form of payment as you chose when booking the trip. In case of no-show or cancellation later than 7 days before the departure of the cruise, the full amount will be charged. Russarö´s fortress island is a part of Finland´s coastal defence, and moving around on the island is considered one´s own responsibility. The trip organiser, crew and the defence forces take no responsibility for possible mishaps during the walking tour. Due to being a military sight, it is necessary to be careful on the island, however when following instructions, it is perfectly safe. Moving around is restricted, and therefore it is necessary to follow the guide.

The SLMEPA reserves the right to cancel or change the time of the visitation in regards to military activity. Only persons with Finnish citizenship can visit Russarö and over 15 year old persons need a valid ID card. It is not allowed to bring alcoholic beverages, and anyone who is under the influence of alcohol may be denied access from the island. Smoking is only allowed in specific, pointed out places. Pet animals are not allowed.
