“I have spent most of my childhood summers in Hanko. These summer memories, and some of my winter memories, will always remain the finest memories I have. The smell of the sea, the petrol fumes from the motorboats, ice cream in the sun on Plagen, dance bands playing in Casino, tennis on the gravel pitch, all the friendly Hanko people, and much more: This will always be Hanko to me, and this is what makes me come back over and over again.”
