14.–15.6. Nordic Song Festival
The Nordic Song Festival is a popular event already for 30 years. Artists from Finland and the other Nordic countries gather in the old cosy warehouse in the Eastern Harbour to enjoy good music and an inspiring atmosphere.
27.7. Sleepyhead Day
The tradition of the Sleepyhead Day goes back to the days of Hanko being a popular spa town. A merry carnival dressed in sleepwear awakens the town and throws the Official Sleepyhead of the Year into the water.
29.7.-4.8. Scandinavian EB Championships by Mandatum Life
This international senior competition in tennis is played on the famous tennis courts in Hanko.
2.-4.8. Baltic Sea Cup
Local FC HIK arranges a popular soccer tournament for juniors. All the games are played at Rukki Arena.
8.-11.8. Hanko Soul Jazz Weekend
A weekend filled with jazz and soul in the city’s restaurants. The programme offers native and foreign top artists.
9.-11.8 Poker Run
Poker Run is the biggest power boat event in Finland. The event consists of activities both off shore and on shore and attracts a lot of spectators.
16.–18.8 Hanko Pride
The third Hanko Pride will take place in the heat of August! Welcome to the Finnish Key West – enjoy the superb program in great company, a warm atmosphere, beautiful views and happy faces! Summer, Hanko, Love!

30.8.–1.9. Hanko days and the Night of the Bonfires
According to tradition, the ancient fires are lit on the last Saturday of August and contribute to the creating of a unique atmosphere during the Hanko Days, which take place on the same weekend. This unique combination of ancient fires and cultural events around town makes the weekend a special experience for all visitors.

Hanko Photo Festival is inspired by the scenery and the quality of light in Hanko. Shows, lectures and exhibitions for all friends of photography.
