The pearl of the Spa Park, Hanko Casino, is reopening with Timo Ojanaho at the helm of the restaurant. Famous for his maritime restaurants in Naantali and Helsinki Ojanaho is opening Hanko Casino this spring with a promise of tasty European cuisine.
Take a bike ride this summer
Would you like to take a weekend trip or perhaps plan a biking holiday this summer? The Coastal Route offers an alternative for those who want to discover the countryside and the archipelago and enjoy an active but relaxing bike tour. You can choose to take the bike from Hanko on the boat to Bengtskär and then continue to Kasnäs and discover the Kemiö island, Mathildedal and the national park in Tykö on the way to Raasepori. Stay at a B&B, enjoy yourself at cafés and discover new places. Alternatively you can head for Salo where you can easily take the train to Turku or Helsinki.
You can choose between themed routes, depending on if you are interested in locally produced food and breweries, nature and nature parks or perhaps different historical works environments and villas. May Day 26.5
May Day 26.5.2018 is opening the bathing season in Hanko. Gather your courage and take a dip in the Baltic Sea, together with other brave swimmers. MayDay is celebrating Hanko being a historic Spa town by unveiling reconstructions of bathing huts from the 1900s.
Tulliniemen Keidas is a funky café situated at the south beach of Tulliniemi. This place offers stunning views over the Baltic Sea and is also renting equipment for different water sports.
Cruise to Örö and Kasnäs
Now you can take a cruise from Hanko to the fortress island of Örö and Kasnäs. Departures on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday during 25.6–5.8. Departure from Eastern Harbour at 9.20, return at 20.00. Bookings: www.vitaharun.fi
